Last week, St. Thomas More Catholic School was honored to welcome Oscar Rivera Jr. for a special afternoon with our middle school students! Through his personal story, music, a fun icebreaker, and an engaging question-and-answer session, Oscar shared an inspiring message about faith, identity, and discovering God’s purpose for our lives.
At the heart of his message was a powerful reminder: God made us on purpose, for a purpose! Each of us is uniquely created in His image, blessed with special gifts and talents, and called to share those gifts with the world.
Oscar encouraged our students to reconnect with the ultimate source of their identity: our Lord. As our middle schoolers continue to grow and discover who they are, they were reminded that their deepest identity is rooted in being beloved sons and daughters of God. No matter where life takes them or what challenges they may face, God has a beautiful plan for each of them.
Through his testimony and talents, Oscar helped bring this message to life, encouraging our students to embrace their God-given gifts, strengthen their relationship with Christ, and recognize the unique purpose God has placed in their hearts.
We extend our heartfelt thank you to Oscar Rivera Jr. for spending time with our middle school students and sharing his faith, talents, and inspiring message. We are grateful for the opportunity to help our students grow in their understanding of who they are in Christ and the incredible plans God has for their lives.
We also extend a special thank-you to Mr. Hernandez, our STM Catholic Identity Coordinator, for organizing this wonderful event for our students. We deeply appreciate his dedication to fostering faith, strengthening our Catholic identity, and creating meaningful opportunities for our students to encounter Christ.
At St. Thomas More Catholic School, we strive to help every student recognize that they are created with dignity, loved by God, and called to make a difference in the world. We are grateful for experiences like this that remind our students of the truth at the heart of our faith: God made each of us with love, with intention, and with a purpose.
